New Delhi: Indian state-run lender Corporation Bank Thursday said that a proposed nationwide strike on February 28, 2012 called by various employees' associations may affect normal operations at its branches.
"A section of the company employees may take part in the proposed strike on the said day. In view of this, it is likely that the normal functioning of the company's branches may get affected," Corporation Bank said in a filing to the stock exchanges.
However, the bank did not specify any reasons for the strike called by the associations like AIBEA, BEFI, INBEF, NCBE, NOBW, AIBOA, and NOBO.
Shares of Corporation Bank were trading at Rs 484.65 on the Bombay Stock Exchange at 2:19 pm today, down 0.86% from the previous close.
